Understanding Your Cat
A cat’s behaviour is a form of communication. When behaviours such as aggression, spraying, toileting outside the litter tray, anxiety, overgrooming or conflict between cats develop, simply trying to stop the behaviour may not address the reason it is occurring.
As a Cat Psychologist, Jules looks beyond the behaviour itself to explore the individual cat, their physical health, emotional wellbeing, environment, previous experiences, natural feline behaviours and relationships with the people and animals around them.
The aim is not simply to change behaviour, but to understand what may be driving it and develop practical, welfare-focused strategies that support both the cat and their family.

Meet Jules dos Santos
Jules has dedicated her professional life to the care, behaviour and welfare of animals, with a particular passion for understanding cats.
Beginning her Veterinary Nursing career in 1998, Jules went on to work across general practice, specialist surgery and emergency and critical care before moving into professional feline care and behaviour.
She holds a Level 4 Diploma in Cat Psychology with Distinction and a Bachelor Degree in Social Justice, with a particular academic interest in animal welfare and human-animal relationships.
Jules is the owner of Luxury Cat Lodge and Founder and Chair of Ninth Life Foundation, a registered charity dedicated to senior and high-care cats.
Her combination of veterinary nursing, feline behaviour, professional cat care and animal welfare knowledge underpins the philosophy behind both Luxury Cat Lodge and Cat Whispering:
